I was born on July 6, 1946, and music has been at the heart of my life from the start. Growing up in a musical household, I made my first TV appearance in San Luis Obispo alongside my musician father. At 13, after moving to San Jose, my dad bought me a drum set so I could play in his band, inspired by Bob Wills. That moment sparked my lifelong passion for music.
At 15, I moved to Bakersfield, where I played country music in nearly every club, transitioning from lead guitar to bass. My career took me on the road with my own band, eventually leading to the incredible opportunity to perform with Merle Haggard. Alongside my music career, I spent 45 years in radio, even recording a commercial for Buck Owens.
In the early 2000s, I spent a decade performing on the Las Vegas Strip with Hail Hail Rock ‘n’ Roll. After 9/11, I returned to Bakersfield, reconnecting with my roots. From small clubs to big stages, music has been my lifelong passion, and I’m grateful for every moment on this journey.
